Evacuation Chair Training

Evacuation chairs enable trained personnel to assist wheelchair users and other disabled staff or customers to escape from upper floors of buildings when lifts not available, e.g., in the event of a fire. This vital piece of equipment allows employers to comply with both the Disability Discrimination Act and Fire Regulations by enabling rapid, safe evacuation of all staff in the event of an emergency. The evacuation chair is extremely easy to use, but requires training and a certain amount of confidence to operate correctly. Training can be carried out at the clients' own premises, using the onsite equipment, or elsewhere, using a chair provided by us.
